"Arte es mi vida y mi vida es arte"
Elior was born on February 19th 1979, in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Although it had been a childhood dream to become a successful lawyer, Elior always had one true passion; painting.
After having completed her law studies in Tel-Aviv University and becoming a member of the Israeli Bar in 2005, the young artist realized that she was striving for something more creative.
Art, beauty and love became Elior's priority. This is where she eventually gave up her career in law, and decided to devote all her time to painting.
Elior believes that art is like a stew that is composed of beauty, happiness, love and a touch of chic.
Art should be beautiful to look at and should raise a smile on a viewer's face.
Her inspiration comes from happy places: her childhood, Monaco & Las Vegas, movies, nostalgic icons, games, fashion, music and love.
The artist adds a unique touch of glamour, by decorating her works of art with exclusive Swarovski Crystals.
Elior is the daughter of hoteliers, and her art is influenced by her travels around the world. Her style of painting has not yet been seen. The artist paints in “Nouveau Pop Art” style.
Pop Art reflects the culture of consumption and is characterized by a stream of symbols used in everyday life which emphasizes the fact that there isn't a great distance between the functional and the aesthetic.
Elior takes it to a higher level. In her work, by the use of a unique technique, she combines thousands of Swarovski Crystals in each piece of art, giving each and every one of them an exceptional luxury which turns the paintings into jewelry.
The vivid creations are characterized by their giant size and bold colors.
Elior uses icons from everyday life as well as cultural and nostalgic symbols from the fashion, cinema, entertainment, art and glamour world and gives them a thought-provoking and unexpected interpretation.
In her recent work, Elior is also influenced by artwork of her favorite artists: Magritte, Dali, Andy Warhol, Demien Hirst and Banksy. She creates “Surrealist Pop Art” by including imagery from popular culture such as fashion, casino and iconic literary figures, as well as from inspiring art pieces. The material is sometimes visually removed from its known context and combined with unrelated material.
In opposed to Pop Art, which is often associated with the artist's use of mechanical means of reproduction or rendering techniques, Elior's original artwork is hand-painted the old fashion way and adorned with thousands
of Swarovski Crystals, stone by stone.
Elior defines herself in one sentence:
“Arte es mi Vida, Y mi Vida es Arte”. Her vibrant life is an inspiration to her beautiful and chic art and vice-versa. Elior’s art inspires the good life she has chosen for herself.
In 2014, Elior stars in the famous documentary - reality show “The Riches” Season 3, which follows the life and career of successful, rich and strong women.
For Elior, It was a great experience, “living her art and inspiration” and being a part of the pop culture hard core. Since she is a Popart artist, and Popart is in its nature a reflection of the consumption culture, the Artist felt it was important for her, and might be interesting and fun as well, to be a part of a realty show and live the consumer culture from within.
